Its been hot here. Really hot. We've also had some horrendous storms with winds like I cant remember ever having before. They actually were strong enough to blow a train off the tracks the other night. I'm thankful that we've not been one of the many who has lost power lately. I'm also thankful that the new fence has withstood the winds in its incomplete state. Having the fence up for about half of the yard so far has made an incredible difference in the atmosphere out back. It feels very secluded and private already. We are loving it and have returned to eating our meals outside which we did not do at all last year because of the new neighbors and their yelling. You can see the fence in the background of the rose garden. Wow are the roses ever in bloom. I just love how thick and lush they are this week. They smell fabulous too!
That's about all I've been up to. I haven't even made time to visit anyones blogs this week. I have a softball game this evening but I'm going to try to do some visiting before I leave. I hope all of you are doing well. Thanks so very much for stopping by.
I love the challenge of trying something new, especially when it relates to art in any of its forms.
ReplyDeleteWe've been having crazy weather here too these past few days. Yesterday, winds so strong that a few trucks were tipped over on one of the bridges. And just before rush hour too!
*hugs*

The harp must be a sign that you're an angel. That's all there is to it! You rose garden is gorgeous, a paradise maybe???? Ok, sorry, I'm done with my heavenly allusions. thank you so much for all your sweet comments abive me about my art. It's people like you who are kind enough to take the time to give me feedback that inspire me.
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs,

oops, sorry about my typo!
ReplyDeleteI see we share a penchant for orange!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are beautiful, I think it's just lovely that you are attempting the harp, a new instrument can be intimidating! Fences make for better neighbors. Horrid when you can't go out in your back yard without feeling like you're in a fishbowl! We've had some very odd thunder storms lately, I lost power for a few hours. Very out of character for May and June.

ReplyDeletePeace and happy harping.. Kai xx
Hi - I noticed Tinker had a link to you so popped on over.
ReplyDeleteI love the shape of the harp and the sound too. I've no urge to learn to play one but could listen to someone else quite happily!
There is one in a street near me and I love to go by when she is practising.
WOW ~ Learning to play the Harp , that is a challenge , hope it goes well for you.
